Đứa là một từ mang nghĩa không tốt khi nói về một người nào đó, ngoại trừ khi được ghép với từ Con. Vì đứa con là từ ghép mang ý nghĩa về tình yêu thương cao cả của cha mẹ, người con dù có như thế nào, cha mẹ vẫn luôn yêu thương, che chở. Và người ta ghép hai từ ấy lại với nhau để mỗi người đều nhớ về sự thiêng liêng của tình phụ tử và tình mẫu tử. Còn từ Đứa vì sao lại mang nghĩa không tốt? Đứa cùng âm với Đưa. Khi bạn cho đi nhưng luôn tính toán xem mình sẽ nhận lại điều gì, khi không nhận lại được, bạn đi kể công, dè bỉu người nhận sự cho đi của mình để làm cho họ có cảm giác mắc nợ bạn hoặc nặng hơn nữa là bạn khiến cho họ bị người khác xúc phạm, như vậy là rất sai trái. Rồi khi bạn ép người khác phải đưa cho mình cái bạn muốn trong khi họ không muốn như vậy chút nào hoặc thậm chí là tổn hại nặng nề đến họ, như vậy là bạn gây ra tội lỗi. Hai điều ấy là hai nghiệp chướng rất lớn trong một đời người, nó là sự độc ác của tâm tính toán, ích kỉ, xảo trá. Vì vậy, người ta gọi những người như vậy là đứa để nhắc mỗi người về chân lý sống của việc cho và nhận.

Đứa is a word with negative meaning, except when it is combined with the word Con which means son or daughter. Because Đứa con is a compound word about the noble love of parents for their children. No matter how their kids are, parents still love and protect them by the whole heart and energy. And the ancients combined these two words together to remind us about that sacred love of everyone's father and mother. 

Why Đứa is a bad word, it has the same sound with the word Đưa. When you give out but always calculate what you would take back, when you don't get it, you sneer at the people who took your kindness to make them feel indebted to you, or worse, you tell bad stories about them to make them be insulted by others, that is a big mistake. When you use your smart or power to force the others give you what you want while they don't want to do it at all or even it cause hurts or pull them into dark stages, that is a guilty. These two actions are the two horrible karma in each person's life. It is the evilness of a soul accounted gradually by calculating, selfishness and cunning. Therefore, the ancients called the ones living that way is Đứa, so that noone would forget the truth of life about giving and recieving.
